New data protection legislation known as GDPR comes into force in May 2018 and, as part of this, the Club needs to make some changes. We've created a new Privacy Notice explaining how we use the personal data of Club members. We also need to ensure we have your consent to email you the Club Bulletin and any other ad-hoc news / event updates. If you're a Club member, please go here and update the "Contact me by email" field (the "Contact me by email" field is about half way down the page) to let us know whether you're happy to receive these emails.
If you don't let us know your preferences, we'll no longer be able to send you updates by email!
Note that you'll still continue to receive the paper magazine and postal / email renewal reminders as usual if you don't update your preferences or opt-out of email communication.

Hopefully we've seen the last of the snow now and we can start dusting down our cars for the summer ahead. There's loads of events to look forward to in the coming year so keep checking out our events page for more details. In particular, this coming weekend the Club will be present at the NEC for the Practical Classics Classic Car and Restoration show. Andy has been busy pulling together a collection of fantastic X1/9s to display. Don't forget, Club members benefit from a discounted entry fee. In addition, Martin has been planning this year's Club National Event. More details will be released over time, but be sure to pencil in 7th-9th September.

This year's National Event was another great success, in no small part thanks to the superb organisation of Sharon and Ray. A superb selection of cars turned out, from home and abroad, to enjoy the kind of scenery and hospitality that can only be found in Yorkshire. Saturday was spent on a scenic run while on Sunday our cars formed part of a parade around the streets of Bridlington followed by a car show at Sewerby Hall, where our cars had pride of place in front of the main building.
More detailed write ups will follow in the mag, but click More for some photos in the meantime.

We've been working on some updates to our website over the last few months and today we're delighted to be able to bring those changes to you. We've updated all the software that runs the website to the latest versions and moved to a new host, which should bring you a smoother experience. There's sure to be a few niggles that we'll try to iron out over the next few days. If you have any problems, please contact Neil at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
Key changes that you'll see are:
- The site is now more mobile friendly and will reformat itself look better on your mobile device
- Purchase of membership is no longer carried out via the online shop but now has a dedicated system which should ensure that new members get quicker access to member-only content.
Future changes planned are:
- A more modern online shop that runs off your main website logon rather than requiring a separate one
- Improved events calendar
