TOPIC: CSC exhaust

CSC exhaust 2 years 2 months ago #38144

Anyone tried one of these...?
"NEW - NOW POLISHED STAINLESS STEEL & LOWER DECIBEL LEVEL FOR UK MARKET"
Ebay 291976267296

I bought one last year and I couldn't stand the thing. The drone was unbearable, made me feel sick. Conversation was virtually impossible; I couldn't hear the engine note, just a constant drone. Awful. But looked awesome! I sent it back and got a full refund, which I was very impressed with, and they said CSC were going to redesign the internals. I'm guessing this is the result. If they've improved it I'd be interested in trying it again... Anyone bought one recently?

Indeed there is... I've never had either though so I don't always spot 'em at first!

I wouldn't bother with the CSC exhaust.

You have to go along way to improve on the standard one in my opinion.

I had a CSC twin outlet exhaust on one of my cars (already on when i bought it) sounded great around town through the gears but agree on a 50 mph run wasnt good.

On one of my other cars I had a manifold system back (no manifold) system made in stainless steel, with 1 x twin pipe outlet....beauty of this is they will manufacture the exhaust to the sound you want...ie race, road or in between....lifetime warranty and was £350 or so.

We have the original CSC and it's too bloody loud. No idea how it's legal. We've been advised to cut it open and fill it with wadding. Shame as it looks fantastic, but the drone and a headache after 5 minutes is a bit of a pain.

Exactly. I couldn't stand mine.
I would love to know if they really have improved it, because the look, and the quality, was great.

Thats good to note, was looking at exhausts but it seems CSC is the only one on the market?? The standard exhaust system that good?? So what do you reckon, dont bother with primaries or silencer?

Found that a while ago. Not tried it though. Another option.

I've also had a car with a stainless exhaust and it was awful, went back to standard. The standard system is a 4:2:1 tuned system and works very well, Fiat knew what they were doing. An open system may give more top end power but the 4:2:1 tuned system gives more low down torque, and that's what you need in day to day driving.

well in that case, I think i should go for a custom silencer made locally, something I can have control over, and just leave the manifold standard, been plenty of response when researched that standard manifold is just dandy as is
