FAQs
The forum looks different - why?
When we introduced the new website, we wanted to make sure the forum was better integrated with the site, rather than being almost a separate site on its own. This has the benefit that you now only need a single log on to access both the members' areas of the site and the forum. Also, we wanted to make sure that people keep coming back to the main website, rather than just going straight to the forum, so that they can get updates on all the latest news. The functionality is very similar to the old site once you get familiar with the layout.
Why have you opened up the forum to non-members?
We want the forum to be as interactive and fun as it can be. By opening up access to the wider X1/9 community, the forum should become more active.
I'm a previous former user - what has happened to my previous posts?
We've migrated all the posts across from the old forum, along with all the forum user details. Where we can, we have linked your website login (which is your membership number) with your old forum login so that when you log in to the website, it recognises you as a previous forum user. This link only works if the email address you held on the old forum matches the email address held on the membership database. If the forum is treating you as a new user, when in fact you are not, please email your old forum user name and your membership number to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we'll make the link for you.
Which logon should I use?
If you had a previous forum logon, this will no longer work. You need to use the main website logon (for members, the user id will be your membership number)
